性质:又称低锌(5%~20%锌)黄铜,因外观呈红色而得名。该种红色黄铜耐蚀性优于黄色黄铜。对季裂和脱锌均不敏感,常用红色黄铜有四种:(1)含锌5%,镀金黄铜,可用于作硬币、奖章、装饰板及需要镀金的高光洁度物品的基体;(2)工业黄铜,含10%锌,用于制作工艺品、船用零件、锻件、铆钉等;(3)红色黄铜,含15%锌,可用作导线、螺旋套、五金器材、冷凝管等;(4)低锌黄铜,含20%锌,用作工艺品、乐器、软管、涂冲件等。
