With the market surveillance and results analysis of the drugs packing material and containers in Anhui province in 2006～2007,the qualities of the drugs packing material and containers which were made by enterprise and used by medical institutions were studied,and quality problems of the drugs packing material and containers were discussed,also some suggestions and strategies were presented.

In order to improvement of the China's present control of hygiene safety in the food packaging materials and promote the foreign trade, the management system of the European Union for food packaging materials was interpreted, espercially introducing the directives, regulations and three tiered structme system, which related to plastic materials and articles in contact with foods.

The existing safety problems of some common food packaging materials(such as plastic, rubber, paper, glass, metal, porcelain enamel and pottery)were introduced, and several preventive and control measures were also put forward in this paper.
