    头稍平扁,吻圆钝。须4对,上颌须后伸达到眼后缘与胸鳍之间的中点。背鳍刺短,后缘光滑。胸鳍刺稍长于背鳍刺,前缘光滑,后缘锯齿发达。腹鳍后伸达肛门。脂鳍基部长于臀鳍基部。臀鳍条17-20。尾鳍后缘微凹,或近截形。
  江河中生活的底层鱼类。个体不大,最大约200毫米。
