Ammonium removal by modified zeolite, Ca-form zeolite, was examined by batch-type methods.

The natural Ca-form zeolite saturated with ammonium was studied through chemical regeneration experiments related to ensuring the long-term stable operation of constructed wetlands stuffed with zeolite.

The removal of ammonia from wastewater by Ca~(2+)-clinoptilolite is introduced togather with some discussion of the capacity of absorption of Ca~(2+)- clinoptilolite in the NH_3-N wastewater, the isotherm of elution process and the Ca~(2+)- clinoptilolite's lose in the solution of Ca(OH)_2.
