   (女桢  蜡树、桢木、将军树) 
   形态特征 木犀科女贞属乔木植物,一般高6米左右。叶革质而脆,卵形、宽卵形、椭圆形或卵状披针形,长6-l2厘米,无毛。圆锥花序长12-20厘米。核果矩圆形,紫蓝色,长约1厘米 
   生境分布 生于混交林中或林缘和谷。分布于长江流域及以南各南区和甘肃南部,其他地区有栽培。
    用途 用作绿篱及放养白蜡虫。木材做细工材料。果入药,叶和树皮、根、茎基部均能入药。
