原名李风清，吉林长安人。中共党员。1963年参加工作，历任齐齐哈尔市雅尔塞农场职工及市郊区党委秘书、办公室主任，《齐齐哈尔日报》编委、文艺部主任，主任编辑。1985年曾被评为齐齐哈尔市自学成才标兵。1963年开始发表作品。1990年加入中国作家协会。
