性质:白色结晶。蝗溶于水、乙醇、甲醇和丙酮,微溶于苯和氯仿,几乎不溶于石油醚。微吸湿,在水溶液中逐渐分解而浑浊。水溶液pH值调节到约5时,可以在室温中保存(在45保存5d而不变质)。

制备方法:用镁屑、溴化苯及乙醚溶液和碘片先合成格氏试剂,其含量一般为39%-43%左右。然后,将格氏试剂与硼酸三甲酯反应,水解,乙醚提取,过滤。滤液用氯仿提取,在提取液中加入食盐,盐析得到白色沉淀(四苯硼钠粗品)。再用丙酮提取,滤除食盐,滤液在室温下减压浓缩,结晶,用丙酮重结晶,在30-40℃干燥即得成品。

用途:酯交换法制取碳酸酯的缩聚催化剂。也用于钾、钠和几利含氯有机化合物的测定,例如于分析胛肥及血液中的钾。
