From Ex situ scanning force microscope (SFM), we noted that a single-chain quaternary ammonium amphiphile bearing azobenzene (C_ 12AzoC_6N+) self-assembled on a freshly cleaved mica sheet and formed stable nano-sized branch-like stripe aggregation.
