Current condition and trend of water quality in Guangxi inshore;

Based on the monitoring data obtained from Guangxi inshore in 2000, potential ecological risk index ( RI ) and the geoaccumulation index ( I geo) were applied for assessing the pollution of heavy metals in Guangxi inshore.

Assessment on heavy metals in seawater, surface sediments and organisms at Guangxi inshore;

Apparent oxygen increase (AOI) and its application in rapid　assessment and prewarning of red tide in coastal waters;

The aquatic environment in the coastal waters is the important components of the coastal ecosystem.

The whole process of environmental monitoring in coastal waters was commented,including preparation before sampling,working out sampling plan,assignation of monitoring station,sample collection,storing and transportation,the analysing,data dealing and transportation in the lab.

This paper analyzed water quality feature of coastal area in Jinzhou using the composite pollution index method based on eight monitoring sites near the coast and the whole area in 2004 and 2005.

A mumerical model of tidal current in the offshore area of Laizhou is constructed, and a Lagrange residual model is constructed on its basis.

Based on the calculated current field, the authors calculate the pollution of COD (Chemical Oxygon Demand) and oil in the offshore area north of Yantai with a two dimensional convection-dispersion model and predict the water quality in this area in the years 1995 and 2000.
