A new method for the determination of dissolved silicon in water by using silicomolyb-dic blue method and a flow injection analysis with highly sensitive detection system has been studied, and the dissolved silicon in rivers and tap waters has been determined.

By using the method of fixed-pointed monitoring in streams of two small watersheds in Three Gorges Reservoir Area, the contents of dissolved silicon (DSi), dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN) and dissolved phosphorus (DP) are analyzed.
