化学式为AsH3。无色、有蒜味的极毒气体；熔点为－116.3℃，沸点－55℃，密度2.695克／升；分子结构呈棱锥型。砷化氢微溶于水；不稳定，是强还原剂；加热至 300℃时分解。在空气中加热时易燃烧生成砷的氧化物和水，在有限供氧时，生成单质砷和水。砷化氢可在酸性溶液中用金属还原砷化钠、砷化锌、氧化砷制得，也可由砷化铝水解制得。砷化氢中毒能引起呕吐、哆嗦。
