Based on a series of experiments on the deep oxidation of toluene on copper-based catalyst which is prepared by wetness impregnation method,this paper investigates the optimal quantity of Cu that is supported on active aluminum oxide,the role of Cu and intermediate/final products in the course of the oxidation by means of instrument analysis such as FTIR,MS and XRD.

The features of gas purification technology by using electron beam have been presented, the reaction principle and technological process of three processes, namely traditional electron beam process, semidry electron beam process, and deep oxidation process by using electron beam, being compared and analysed.
