其一，要提高机器的塑化能力。应开发高塑化性能和高输送能力的螺杆机筒，大力推广、应用带强制喂料、强制冷却的高产量塑化挤出的“IKV”结构。
其二，要提高吹气压力、使用低温干燥高压空气吹塑，因为这是缩短吹塑冷却成型时间及提高制品质量的关键。
其三，为了提高储料式机头的性能，应研发高性能双层心形包络流道的储料式机头。由于先进先出、快捷换色换料以及清理方便是高性能储料式机头的重要特征，因此，在开发生产机器的过程中，应积极应用先进的CAD/CAE/CAM技术，采用优质的钢材和精密的加工设备。
其四，插销式无拉杆合模机构发展较快，它具有锁模力大、分布均匀、装卸模具容易、容模量大、节能等方面的优点，因此，应在大型挤吹中空塑料成型机中推广使用。
