（传说）王卧病，施心益强，日夜送黄金于鸡园寺不止。时邪见之大臣，劝太子三波地，勒守库藏，使王命不行。王竟无施物，唯有半庵摩勒果在手中。王大悲恼，说偈曰：“今我阿育王，无复自在力，唯半阿摩勒，于我得自在。”乃遣侍臣施与鸡园寺。鸡园寺上座碎为粉末，置羹中遍分与众僧。见阿育王经五。
