With the aid of the Global Positioning System (GPS), present status of nitrogen and phosphorus pollution in water bodies in the high and low water periods of twelve rivers and three lakes in Changshu region was investigated, and seasonal variations of concentrations of nitrogen in different forms in the surface layers of the water bodies were researched.
利用GPS定位的方法在丰水期和枯水期对常熟地区境内12条河流和3个湖荡水体氮磷污染现状进行了调查研究,对常熟地区主要河湖地表水中不同形态氮浓度的季节性变化特征进行了初步探讨。

| 常熟市 位于中国江苏省南部，长江下游南岸。省直辖市。1990年人口103.7万，汉族为主，有蒙古、回、满、藏、维吾尔、苗、彝、壮等17个少数民族。面积1251.9平方千米。汉置吴县。西晋太康四年（283）属海虞县。东晋咸康七年（341）设南沙县。南朝梁大同六年（540）置常熟县。隋海虞并入常熟。清雍正四年（1726)析置昭文县，1912年昭文并入常熟。1949年析置常熟市。1958年底并入常熟县，1983年撤县设常熟市。矿产资源主要有煤、石英石，植物资源有棉、麻、茶等，水产资源有鱼、蟹、虾等。土特产品有鸭血糯、桂花栗子、绿毛龟、花边、红木雕刻。名胜古迹有龙峰亭、虞山、昭明读书台等。 |
