The results show that both the process parameters and the assemblage geometries of the specimens will affect the microstructures and the growth of the Ti-Fe compound,when Ti is placed above Fe or Ti/Fe couple is placed upright,the contact reaction zone is consist of β-Ti(Fe)solid soution,coarse TiFe compound,Ti-Fe eutectic structure and Fe.
