Two novel series of main chain liquid crystalline copolyesters with crown ether cycles were synthesized via solution condensation polymerizations from 4,4′-(α,ω-alkylenedioylxy) dibiphenylyloyl dichloride(M1),cis(trans)-4,4′-bis(4-hydroxyphenylazo) dibenzo-14 crown-4(M2 or M3) and 1,10-decan diol(M4) as the monomers.

性质:具有热致性液晶特性的共聚酯。它们通常是由芳香族羟基羧酸、芳香族二元酸、二元酚或/和聚对苯二甲酸乙二酯、对苯二甲酸双乙二酯多组分共缩聚而成。如合成过程中引入芳香族二元胺或氨基酚、氨基羧酸,还可制得热致性液晶共聚酯酰氨。目前已规模化生产的热致性液晶共聚酯有Xydar、Vectra等,均具有优异的性能,在航空、电子、电器、汽车、机械、化工、纤维、光学等领域具有广泛的用途。
