海南生物多样性博物馆
2000年7月，由海南师范学院自筹基金兴建海南生物多样性博物馆，历经半年艰辛，建设完成了博物馆的第一个展厅--“海南生物多样性展厅”。之后，又得到了海南省政府的资助，相继建设完成了"海兽多样性展厅"和"人.社会.自然展厅"。2002年元月，博物馆全部展厅竣工。
海南生物多样性博物馆是海南省第一个融科学性、趣味性为一体的自然科学类博物馆，同时也是海南省系统、持久、全面开展生态环境保护宣传和公众环保意识教育的基地。在海南生物多样性博物馆建设期间，先后接待了中小学生、学者、游客和政府官员15万余人，在社会上产生了积极的反响。
海南生物多样性博物馆目前包括"海兽多样性展厅"，"人.社会.自然展厅"和"海南生物多样性展厅"三大部分，共48个主题单元，图片和标本7000余件。“海兽多样性展厅”主要展示南海海域的海兽多样性及其面临的危机，其中，巨鲸骨骼和内脏标本是全国之最；“人、社会、自然展厅”主要展示人与自然关系的历史变迁、人类的起源、人体结构、青春期的男孩和女孩等内容；“海南生物多样性展厅”主要展示海南丰富而独特的生物多样性资源及其面临的危机以及海南建设生态省的内容。
