  磁共振成像术语。磁共振成像中,某个给定方向上场强发生梯度改变的磁场。在磁共振成像中可用梯度磁场进行选择性激励,即选择成像部位和对所接受的磁共振信号进行编码。在实际的磁共振成像中,要有三个方向的梯度场,分别用Gx、Gy和Gz表示。一个方向的梯度场进行层面选择,另两个方向的梯度场分别进行频率编码和相位编码。梯度磁场的场强比主磁场弱得多,一般用mT/m为单位。磁共振设备的梯度磁场场强与某些快速成像序列的功能有关,如回波平面成像序列的实施即需要设备具有较高的梯度磁场场强。
