马鞍山景区，位于淄川东南部淄河镇（原口头乡），离淄川城区约35公里，是以抗日遗址而闻名的革命纪念地。马鞍山因形似马鞍而得名，主峰海拔618米，山势峻峭，峰顶突兀，悬崖如削，十分险要。抗日战争时期成为敌我双方必争之地，从1942年7月至1944年12月，该山发生了3次大规模的战斗。1977年12月，马鞍山抗日遗址被公布为省级重点文物保护单位。马鞍山不但具有光荣的革命传统，而且具有良好的自然景观。在马鞍山峰顶遥望可见两处奇景，一处是“三泰山”主峰，称之为“三泰卧佛”；另一处是西南方的一座山峰，犹如静坐修行的弥勒佛。与马鞍山毗邻的景点有莲花山、一线天、梦泉、摩天柱等，久负盛名的池梨、大枣等果品，也是这里特有的景观资源。
