insulin release test
诊断糖尿病的特殊试验。与进行口服葡萄糖试验同时测定血浆胰岛素浓度以反映胰岛β细胞贮备功能。幼年型患者除空腹水平很低外，糖刺激后胰岛素水平仍很低，呈低扁平曲线，尤其是计算葡萄糖(G）与胰岛素(IRI）比值(IRI/G）提示胰岛素分泌偏低(正常值为25ml/mg，在临床期糖尿病者低于此值）。成年型患者空腹水平可正常，糖刺激后呈延缓释放，此试验对诊断糖尿病前期及在临床期较有意义，对临床上显性病例或化学性(隐性）糖尿病意义不大。
