心理治疗效果‘effeetiveness of psycho-th盯aPy)通过心理治疗的方法使来访者的情绪、人格和行为发生改变的状况。20世纪50年代以前，人们对心理治疗的效果普遍给予较高的估计。后来人们发现，这种乐观的估计不是建立在科学的研究基础上的。艾森克(Eysenek，H.，1952)认为，心理治疗的效果不优于病人的自然恢复率(不经任何治疗自然好转病人的比例)。此后许多人做了大量的对照研究，这些研究克服了以往研究中的方法学问题。得出的共同结论是:心理治疗确实有效，心理治疗的效果不限于“哈罗一古德拜效应”和‘·安慰剂效应，’，它显著高于病人的自然恢复率。许多严格设计的研究也证实，在治疗效果方面，不同的心理疗法间没有很大的差别。目前研究者们最关心的问题，不是笼统地回答哪一种治疗途径最好，而是哪一种方法对于解决某一特定问题最有效。 (梁宝勇撰丰文博审)
