补充资料:膨胀土
      以粘土矿物为主要成分、对湿热环境变化敏感的高塑性粘土。膨胀土分布极广。多生成于盆地的边缘、谷地的高阶地。多属更新世。可有各种地质成因类型。主要特点是:①粒度组成中,粘粒含量大于30%。②粘土矿物以蒙脱石、伊利石等强亲水性矿物为主。③土体湿度增高时,体积膨胀,形成膨胀压力;土体干燥时,体积收缩,形成收缩裂缝。④膨胀、收缩随环境变化可往复发生,导致强度衰减。⑤属液限大于40%的高塑性粘土(见图)。⑥属固结性粘土。
  
  膨胀土的膨胀和收缩性常用膨胀压力、膨胀率、体缩和线缩率等指标表示。膨胀压力是土样在无侧向膨胀条件下湿化,控制膨胀变形为零时所需的压力。膨胀率则表示膨胀体积的百分率。体缩和线缩表示土样干燥前后,体变和线性变化的百分率。膨胀土易被误认为是工程地质性质较好的土,但实际上膨胀土易随湿热环境变化,产生体积变形而导致建筑物变形破坏。膨胀土由于干燥或其他原因常形成裂隙,裂隙面光滑,间而有次生土质充填,故而又称为裂隙土。常是控制边坡稳定的重要因素。
