常用针灸穴位。属任脉，是胃之募穴、八会穴(府会)。穴在胃体中部，故名。国际标准代号为RN12。
定位 仰卧位，前正中线之脐上4寸。
取穴 前正中线上，肚脐与胸骨下缘之中点。
刺灸法 直刺0.8～1.2寸；可灸或针上加灸。
功用 调理脾胃，化湿降逆(在于升降、燥湿的调理)。
主治 胃腹疼痛，呕逆反酸，泄泻，便秘，黄疸，脏燥(一虚二停三火：即胃气虚是病变的根本，影响到燥湿的变化；停食停气，气停可因肝气横逆；脾火、胃火、肝火，可因内火也可因外火)。
