  人体深部组织肿瘤或包块,如卵巢恶性肿瘤,虽然用图像显像,如CT、B型超声磁共振图像可以看见盆腔和腹腔肿块,因不易自外部取材,故不能提供明确的组织学诊断。但用粗针穿刺取活检解决此问题有可能造成肿瘤播散,尚不宜普遍应用。
