主要采用文献资料、访谈、观察及逻辑分析等方法对以上海、北京、温州、天津、太原、湖北、安徽、内蒙古、福建等部分省市社区居民体育活动情况进行分析研究,发现目前中国城市社区居民参与体育活动目标比较明确,活动内容以健身娱乐为主;但社区体育宣传力度不足,相当一部分居民对社区体育认识不清;体育参与成员呈现年龄和性别的不均衡状况;时间、场地及技术指导的不足依然是制约社区居民参与体育活动的主要因素。

      学生在课余时间,根据个人意愿,选择某项或几项体育运动项目进行锻炼活动。它的主要特点是,学生在不受约束的条件下,按照自己的兴趣和爱好,选择自己所喜欢的项目进行个人或成队的练习。自由体育活动的时间一般都在课间休息、课外活动和节假日。活动内容多种多样,有跳绳、跳橡皮筋、踢毽子、飞碟、活动性游戏、各种球类、棋类和野游等等。这种活动能很好地丰富学生的课余生活,有益于身心健康。为了使学生养成坚持锻炼身体的良好习惯,应引导他们从个人爱好的活动中,选择适合自己需要的锻炼内容和方法。
