  存在于颈动脉窦和主动脉弓血管壁外膜下的感觉神经末梢。其末端膨大呈卵圆形,按其所在部位,分别称为颈动脉窦压力感受器和主动脉弓压力感受器。对动脉血压变化具有敏感性。动脉血压愈高,压力感受器传入冲动的频率愈高。当其冲动到达心血管中枢后,一则使心迷走中枢的活动加强,再则使心交感紧张中枢和交感缩血管紧张中枢减弱。通过这些中枢的活动变化,使心脏的活动不致过强,血管外周阻力不致过高,从而保持动脉血压在较低的水平。
