| 促性腺激素 gonadotropins 调节脊椎动物性腺发育，促进性激素生成和分泌的糖蛋白激素。如垂体前叶分泌的促黄体生成激素（LH）和促卵泡成熟激素（FSH），两者协同作用，刺激卵巢或睾丸中生殖细胞的发育及性激素的生成和分泌；人胎盘分泌的绒毛膜促性腺激素（HCG），可促进妊娠黄体分泌孕酮。怀孕初期尿中即可出现HCG，于妊娠两个月时达高峰，临床常以此作为妊娠指标。垂体促性腺激素的生成和释放受下丘脑促黄体生成激素释放激素（LH-RH）的直接调控。LH与FSH的靶腺产物——性激素反过来也可影响垂体或下丘脑的分泌功能。因此LH-RH、LH与FSH以及性激素的分泌相互制约，起伏颇有节奏。LH又称促间质细胞激素（ICSH），因为它作用于睾丸的间质细胞，刺激雄性激素的生成和分泌。LH对雌性动物卵巢的主要作用为选择性诱导排卵前的个别卵泡迅速长大，待LH的分泌达高潮时，触发排卵并使排卵后的卵泡壁转化为黄体及分泌孕酮。FSH的重要作用是促进卵巢中卵泡的生长和发育，在雄性则促进睾丸曲细精管中精子的生成。从动物垂体制取的促性腺激素，已广泛应用于畜牧、水产业，但对人类无效。从孕妇尿中可制取HCG，或从绝经期妇女尿中提取LH与FSH的混合制剂，简称人绝经期促性腺激素（HMG)，临床上可用于治疗性功能减退症。 |
