致病性大肠杆菌
enteropathogenic coli,EPEC

婴儿腹泻的主要致病菌,严重者可致死。本组细菌不产生肠毒素,它们主要寄生在十二指肠、空肠和回肠上端。其致病机制不清,但已发现某些血清型大肠杆菌是致病性大肠杆菌,本组细菌常对多种抗菌素具有耐药性。该组疾病的诊断主要依靠临床症状及细菌血清学鉴定。
