（术语）指方者指定西方也，立相者建立弥陀之相好也。是为观经一部之说相。圣道门之诸家以之为对于一往劣机之方便说，其究竟说谓心外无法，故心外无净土，实相无相，故佛身无相。然净土门为本为凡夫之宗，故以此指方立相为宗之极致，不取己心之净土，无相之理佛也。观经定善义曰：“今此观门等，唯指方立相住心而取境，总不明相离念也。如来悬知末代罪浊凡夫立相住心尚不能得，何况离相而求事者，如似无术通人居空立舍也。”
