| 达斡尔族 中国少数民族。主要分布在内蒙古自治区和黑龙江省的部分地区，少数在新疆。人口12.1万（1990）。使用达斡尔语，属阿尔泰语系蒙古语族。无文字。主要使用汉文，少数兼用满文、蒙古文和哈萨克文。达斡尔族人的先民分布于外兴安岭以南至黑龙江北岸的河谷地带。17世纪中叶以后逐步迁到嫩江流域、呼伦贝尔、爱辉及新疆等地。17世纪前，达斡尔族已结成村落，聚族而居。渔猎业是传统的生产活动。南迁后农业迅速发展。达斡尔族实行一夫一妻制婚姻，恪守氏族外婚制原则。人死后行土葬。长者葬礼隆重。村庄里高大的介字形草房朝南，内壁和天棚多有装饰，房外围柳编花篱笆。他们的主食为加牛奶的稷子米饭和荞麦面、饼等，肉食的制做以晒肉干和煮、烤肉为主。男子夏穿布衣，外加长袍，用白布包头，戴草帽，冬戴皮帽。妇女穿长袍，不束腰带，不穿短衣。冬天男女皆穿寄卡米（皮靴），夏日喜穿白袜、花鞋。他们最大的节日是春节，节日里都着盛装，逐户拜年，妇女们互赠礼物。曲棍球是传统运动项目，享有曲棍球之乡的声誉。信仰萨满教，少数人信喇嘛教。1947年达斡尔农区进行土地改革，牧区实行牧场公有、放牧自由。1952年开始建7个达斡尔民族乡，1958年8月在内蒙建自治旗。
