【性状】
本品为无色的澄明液体。
【鉴别】
(1) 取本品0.2ml ，蒸干，加硫酸5ml 溶解后，溶液显樱桃红色；放置 后，色渐变深。 (2) 取本品适量，照盐酸异丙嗪项下的鉴别(2)、(3)项试验，显相同的反应。
【检查】
pH值 应为4.0 ～5.5 （附录Ⅵ H）。 有关物质 取本品，照盐酸异丙嗪项下的方法检查，应符合规定。 其他 应符合注射剂项下有关的各项规定（附录Ⅰ B）。
【含量测定】
精密量取本品2ml ，置100ml 量瓶中，用盐酸溶液(9→1000) 稀释 至刻度，摇匀，精密量取10ml，置另一100ml 量瓶中，用水稀释至刻度，摇匀，照分光 光度法（附录Ⅳ A），在299nm 的波长处测定吸收度，按C17H20N2S.HCl 的吸收系数（ Ｅ1% 1cm）为108 计算，即得。
