性质:由白色链球菌(Streptomyces.alboniger)发酵制得的抗生素。熔点175.5~177.0℃。旋光度-11 (乙醇)。在酸性溶液中分解成为6-二甲胺嘌呤,O-甲基-L-酷氨酸及3-氨基-3-去氧核糖。结构与氨基酰tRNA分子中腺苷相连结的氨基酸末端基因相似,因而它可作氨基酰tRNA的类似物,与正在延伸的多肽链结合,而抑制了蛋白质的合成,并以肽基嘌呤霉素的形式从核糖核蛋白体上早期解离出来。主要用作研究蛋白质合成的生物化学工具。
