【性状】
本品为黄色油膏。
【鉴别】
取本品约2g，加稀硝酸5ml，煮沸，使磺胺嘧啶银溶解，放冷，滤过,滤 液中加稀盐酸2ml，即发生白色的凝乳状沉淀，加氨试液4ml，则沉淀溶解，再加稀硝酸 3ml，又发生白色凝乳状沉淀。
【检查】
应符合软膏剂项下有关的各项规定（附录Ⅰ F）。
【含量测定】
精密称取本品适量（约相当于磺胺嘧啶银0.3g），加水50ml与盐酸 15ml，煮沸搅拌使磺胺嘧啶银溶解，置冰水中冷却至20℃以下，将滴定管的尖端插入液 面下约2/3处，照永停滴定法（附录Ⅶ A），用亚硝酸钠滴定液(0.1mol/L)滴定。每1ml 亚硝酸钠滴定液(0.1mol/L)相当于35.71mg的C10H9AgN4O2S。
