呈前突后凹半月状。是由致密结缔组织和丰富的弹性纤维组织构成，含有许多睑板腺，分泌皮脂腺以润滑睑缘，防止组织液浸湿眼睑皮肤。上睑板较大、厚实，下睑板薄而狭小，睑板浅面与眼轮匝肌疏松相连，深面则与睑结膜紧密附着，难以分离，睑板内、外侧端分别由内、外眦韧带相连于内、外眦水平的眶缘部。
