性质:膜(主要指生物膜)两侧的电位差。它取决于膜内所带的电荷与膜两侧所带的电荷,后一种包含膜表面和相邻溶液所带的电荷。例如在安静状态的神经膜的跨膜电位大约为-75mV,表示细胞内侧相对于外侧低75mV,膜内侧显负电性而外侧显正电性。当神经细胞受激时,跨膜电位从-75mV变成了+50mV,膜内侧显正电性而外侧显负电性,此时将使膜内侧过多的阳离子挤出到外侧。
