    常用的利水渗湿药。为多孔菌科寄生植物茯苓的菌核。多寄生于松科植物赤松或马尾松等树根上。主产于中国云南、安徽、湖北、湖南、四川等地区。茯苓味甘淡,性平。归心、脾、肾经。功能利水渗湿、健药材茯苓脾补中、宁心安神。主要用于水湿停滞,小便不利,水肿胀满,痰饮,心悸;或脾虚湿盛,体倦食少,腹胀肠鸣,大便溏泻;心脾不足,心悸,健忘,失眠等症。现代药理实验证明,茯苓具有缓慢而持久的利尿作用,还有提高体液免疫功能,镇静、降低眼内压等作用。
