描述Nyssaceae珙桐科,双子叶植物,3属,约12种,分布于北美和亚洲,我国有3属,8种,除供庭园观赏外,木材可用,喜树含喜树碱,能抗癌。落叶乔木;叶互生,单叶,全缘或有齿缺,无托叶;花两性或单性,排成顶生或腋生的头状花序或为伞房状或伞形状的聚伞花序;萼小;花瓣5或更多或缺;雄蕊5-10或更多;子房下位,1-6-10室,每室有倒垂的胚珠1颗;核果或翅果。我国有:Camptotheca,Davidia,Nyssa3属.
