在脊柱缺损部位有囊状物,较多发生在腰骶部。肿物为圆形,可能很大,里面只有脑脊膜和脑脊液,没有脊髓的中枢神经组织。外面如有正常皮肤包盖,肿物很少继发感染或破裂。如囊壁很薄或已溃破,则往往形成脑脊液漏或合并脊髓、颅内感染。病儿无瘫痪或其他神经系统症状。
