【来源】
为菊科植物艾纳香叶片的加工品。植物形态参见"艾纳香"条。
【制法】
9～10月间，采取艾纳香叶，入蒸器中加热使之升华，升华所得的结晶为灰白色之粉状物，即称"艾粉"。经压榨去油，炼成块状结晶，再劈削成颗粒状或片状，即为艾片。
【药材】
为半透明的结晶，直径5～15毫米，厚约2～3毫米。白色。气清凉，味辛凉浓烈。燃烧时有浓黑烟。以片大、质薄、洁白、松脆、清香者为佳。 主产广东，广西、贵州等地。 本品在广东、广西，亦作为冰片的品种之一。参见"冰片"条。

①《药材资料汇编》："甘，温平，无毒。" ②《广西中药志》："味辛苦，性温，无毒。"
【功用主治】
①《药材资料汇编》："去恶气，辟瘟疫，杀虫疗癣，治中暑霍乱。" ②《广西中药志》："通窍散火，祛翳明目。治霍乱腹痛，风痰闭窍。外用于目疾外障，口疮等证，并可作配制跌打损伤的外敷药。"
【用法与用量】
内服：0.5～1分，多入丸、散。外用：研末撒或调敷。
