为瑞香科植物一把香的根。
【植物形态】
一把香，又名：长花荛花。 灌木，高约1米。根长而略分枝，皮纤维多，表面棕黄色。茎直立，多分枝，幼枝密被灰色短柔毛。叶互生或对生；矩圆形或椭圆状矩圆形，长1.5～3厘米，宽0．8～1厘米，先端短尖，全缘，上面绿色，下面淡白色，两面均被疏柔毛；叶柄短，被灰色柔毛。穗状花序组成的圆锥花序长达3厘米，密被浅灰黄色短柔毛；花密生，黄色，芳香；花被细长圆筒形，长约8毫米，直径约1．5毫米，外面密被浅黄色短柔毛，先端5裂，裂片长约1毫米；雄蕊，10，2轮，花丝短；花盘鳞片1，长2～2．5毫米，狭楔形，有脉纹，顶端具缺刻；子房长圆形，被长柔毛，花柱短，柱头头状。核果，长圆形，长约4毫米，黑色。花期4～8月。果期6～9月。 生于山坡草地及路边。分布四川、云南。

【功用主治】
健脾，补虚．治脾虚胃弱，便溏，气虚肿经久不消。
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，3～6钱。
