臭椿
Ailanthus altissima;tree of heaven
     苦木科臭椿属落叶乔木。又称椿树。因叶基部腺点发散臭味而得名。木材可供建筑、制人造板等;叶可养樗蚕;根皮、茎和种子可供药用;是荒山造林、庭园和工矿区绿化树种。树高达30米。羽状复叶,互生,小叶近基部具少数粗齿,齿端有腺点。雌雄同株或异株。圆锥花序顶生,花小,杂性,白绿色。翅果,扁平,长椭圆形(见图)。在中国,南自广东、广西,向北直到辽宁南部,共跨22个省区均有分布,黄河流域是分布中心。喜光。不耐严寒。对土壤要求不严,但在重粘土和积水区生长不良。对pH值的适宜范围5.5~8.2。对氯气抗性中等,对氟化氢及二氧化硫抗性强。生长快,根系深,萌芽力强。播种育苗一般在春季,但不宜过早,以防晚霜。通常用低床或垅作育苗。栽植造林多在春季。在干旱多风地区也可截干造林。立地条件较好的阴坡或半阴坡也可用直播造林。
