对婴儿和儿童的动脉导管未闭患者，采用经胸膜外途径手术，能减少肺不张及胸腔积液等并发症。手术方法只行后纵隔胸膜剥离以显露动脉导管，不切开胸膜，其余方法与经胸腔行动脉导管手术相同。
