| 神农 中国古代神话中农业和医药的发明者，相传他“斫木为耜，揉木为耒”，制作了这些生产工具，教给人民进行农业生产，反映了中国原始时代从采集、渔猎进步到农业生产阶段的情况。神农还被传说为“医药之祖”，史记中记载：神农氏作蜡祭，以赭鞭鞭草木，尝百草，始有医药。后世传言神农是玲珑玉体，能见其肺肝五脏，因能化解药毒，又传说神农因尝百足虫，不能解其毒而致死。传说他还曾教人治病。另有传说神农即炎帝。
