The similarities and differences between English language and the Chinese language are analyzed in terms of the voice.

Based on the above theories,this paper aims at the comparison and review of the study of English voice.

(Swales s) Genre Analysis theory is applied to examining the following three aspects of the abstract: schematic structure, tense & voice,syntactical and lexical features The paper addresses the conventionality of abstract so that the members in the discourse community may grasp and apply the mechanism of the abstract in their own writing.

It also attempts a probe into the convergence and divergence of English and Chinese idioms of body language.

This article mainly presents the four aspects of a structured abstract of the medical English paper, including objective, methods, results and conclusion, and explores their writing contents and methods, tense and voice and sentence patterns.
