性质：体外或体内抗菌试验时，较准确计数活菌数。方法是试验前将试验菌株接种于肉汤培基中，于37℃孵育过夜作为原菌液，用生理盐水作10倍系列稀释，一般稀释至10-5～10-7即可，分别吸取0.1ml移种平皿固体培基上，经孵育过夜后，有明显菌落即可计数，一般选择10～300菌落数为宜。根据菌落计数，推算至原菌液菌数，如10-5的0.1ml平均菌落数为120个，1ml的菌落数应为1200个，即原菌液菌数为1.2×108。根据原菌液的菌数，可任意稀释成所需细菌数。
