性状描述:无色液体,几乎无臭。凝固点-70℃,沸点135℃,相对密度0.9311(20/20℃),折射率1.4060,闪点(开杯)49℃,(闭杯)44℃,流动点<37.78℃,自燃点237.78℃,粘度(20℃)2.1mPa·s,表面张力(25℃)28.2mN/m,蒸气压0.706kPa。能与水;乙醇;乙醚;丙酮和液体酯类混溶。能溶解多种油类;树脂及蜡等。

生产方法:由环氧乙烷与乙醇反应而得。在25-30℃,将环氧乙烷缓加入无水乙醇中,待温度升至70℃,反应完后放置过夜。回收乙醇,用10%氢氧化钠溶液中和至pH=8,分馏得粗品。精馏,收集133.5-135.5℃馏分得成品。每吨产品消耗环氧乙烷863kg,无水乙醇1020kg。

用途:该品为低挥发性溶剂。用作硝基赛璐珞;假漆;天然和合成树脂等的溶剂,还可用于皮革着色剂;乳化液稳定剂;油漆稀释剂;脱漆剂和纺织纤维的染色剂等。另外,还是生产乙酸酯的中间体。
