Since it was difficult to deploy IP multicast on a large scale in Internet,the authors presented a Reliable Multicast(RM)architecture,which utilized multicast gateways to interconnect IP multicast islands and Application Layer Multicast(ALM)domain.
针对IP组播在Internet中难以规模化部署的现状,提出了一种使用组播网关将IP组播岛与应用层组播(ALM)区域连接起来的可靠组播(RM)体系结构,对组标识、组播网关、组管理、差错控制和拥塞控制等关键问题给出了解决方案,并设计了组播网关竞争算法。
