The super-long piles have been widely applied in large-span bridges and high buildings,but there is phenomenon that the piles are becoming more and more longer.

In this paper, the author discusses the research actuality of super-long piles and give a commentary on some questions such as the definition of super-long piles,load transmission principle and the study methods.
