In order to study the novel biometric of eyebrow,this paper presents an eyebrow recognition method by comparison of feature strings,the basic idea of which is to extract feature strings using discrete Fourier transformation and K-means algorithm,and to recognize a given eyebrow image as the candidate per- son with the minimum edit distance between their feature strings.

源于《五灯会元》卷十六：僧问：“如何是急切一句？”蒋山法泉禅师答：“火烧眉毛。”《心地观经》卷五指出：“精勤修习，未当暂舍，如救头燃。”谓佛教徒欲求出离生死苦海，当以急迫之心精进修持，不容懈怠。火烧眉毛之意与此相似。情势紧迫，必须立即设法去解决眼前的因境，俗谓之“火烧眉毛，且顾眼前”。如《镜花缘》第三五回：“小弟此番揭榜虽觉孟浪，但因要救舅兄，不得已做了个‘火烧眉毛，且顾眼前’之计，实是无可奈何。”也指缺乏长远的眼光，只图眼前的利益，得过且过。如李六如《六十年的变迁》第八章：“（他）何去何从，没有了主意，背着手，踱几步，咳！火烧眉毛顾眼前嘛。”（李明权）
